We Are Not Your Kind is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot, released under the Roadrunner Records imprint. We Are Not Your Kind is the first album by the band not to feature percussionist Chris Fehn. The album is named after a phrase from Slipknot's earlier release "All Out Life". Guitarist Jim Root said that the album is "the most time we've had to write a record, and work stuff out together" and that "while the industry is moving toward singles, Slipknot wanted to make an album experience, front to back."
