Sharon Gless, Dee Wallace and Anne Archer reach for the stars in The Sky's No Limit, inspired by the real-life exploits of Sally Ride, America's first female astronaut. As NASA prepares for the first Challenger space shuttle mission of 1983, the media breaks out in a frenzy when it's confirmed that a woman may be part of the five-member crew. Competing for the honor are three doctors, each a specialist in her field: Susan Browning (Archer), an internist; Joanna Douglas (Gless), a professor of mathematics; and Maureen Harris (Wallace), a botanist/physicist. While all three women endure the rigors of NASA training, they also must deal with personal issues, problems that could keep them grounded instead of making history as America's first woman in space.
