Released on November 6,1967, many has either said this was the best album, ever made or their favorite album. This might be the groups lone venture into the world of psychedelic music, songs like Star Collector, Love Is Only Sleeping, She Hangs Out, Daily Nightly. and yes even Pleasant Valley Sunday could be declared in someway psychedelic. The album cover shows the Monkees in a drawing with no faces surrounded by multi colored flowers. Interesting fact, Love Is Only Sleeping was to be the single with the classic Daydream Believer as the B-side, something went wrong, they felt that many would take the title to Love Is... and think of something dirty. So "Pleasant Valley Sunday"/"Words" went out, "Daydream Believer" along with it's b-side "Going Down" went on to become the groups' final #1 single.
