About this product:
OVO is a soundtrack for the Millennium Dome Show in London that was composed by Peter Gabriel. It was released August 29, 2000 and features guest vocals by Neneh Cherry, Rosco, Richie Havens, Elizabeth Fraser and Paul Buchanan (of The Blue Nile). Two versions were released, a "limited version" (Europe), and a "regular" version (America). The limited version contained a booklet with a comic book story of OVO, and a bonus CD with an extra rap track (remixed from "Digging in The Dirt") and videos of the show.
Peter, Elizabeth, Paul and the band (including long-time member Tony Levin) performed "Father, Son" and "Downside Up" in BBC's Later with Jools Holland. Both performances are available at Peter Gabriel's website.
Peter performed "Father, Son", "The Tower That Ate People", "White Ashes", and "Downside Up" over the course of the Growing Up and Still Growing Up tours. Melanie Gabriel provided backing vocals for "Downside Up". Some of these performances are available in the Up tour DVDs.
