Eva might be the only woman left on Earth. After a mysterious plague threatens to kill all females on the planet, the lives and relationship of Eva (Freida Pinto) and Will (Leslie Odom, Jr) are put to the ultimate test as they try to survive the disease and the dangerous people hunting her down. Forced to quarantine Eva in their tiny apartment, the couple watches helplessly as their loved ones pass away and the global death toll climbs relentlessly. Trapped and isolated, Eva begins to resent Will, who has grown over-protective and controlling. Tragically, their relationship falls apart in unison with the world around them. Mirroring this storyline, the film cross-cuts four-hundred days into the future where, despite Will's best efforts, Eva has contracted the disease. With only a few days left in her life, the couple venture out of their apartment to head to a waterfall from their past. By fleeing into nature, she aspires to live out the rest of her days in relative peace, hoping to rekindle her love for Will. Their journey, however, soon attracts unwanted attention from a pair of hunters (Chandler Riggs & Jayson Warner Smith) determined to catch and sell the few women still alive. After the hunters capture Will in the forest, Eva decides that she must take matters into her own hands. No longer will she allow any man to control her fate.
