Previous album No Mean City was hard 'n' heavy, and with a big scary monster on the cover. But "Malice" was the exact opposite. The new producer Jeffrey Baxter was looking for a more slick, west coast and radio adapted sound. And he got just that!. He also produced the follow-up album The Fool Circle. Malice In Wonderland contains some brilliant songs. Naz classics such as Heart's Grown Cold, Holiday and Big Boy all still are in and out of the current Nazareth live set list.
