So Close to What is the upcoming third studio album by Tate McRae, scheduled to be released on February 21, 2025, through RCA Records On November 14, 2024, McRae announced the release of her third studio album through social media. According to a press release, So Close to What is set to capture “the journey of growing up when the road ahead feels infinite”. So Close to What offers an “introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and searching for balance” in uncertain times. It's known so far to be produced by Ilya, Savan, Lostboy, Emile Haynie, with Ryan Tedder being the executive producer. It has been preceded by the release of the lead single «It's ok I'm ok» produced by Ilya on September 12, 2024, followed by «2 hands» produced by Lostboy and Ryan Tedder on November 14. A third promotional single is available for pre-order starting January 12, 2025 «sports car»
