When guitar-playing car thief Wesley Benfield (William Lee Scott) is sentenced to a halfway house in the middle of the Bible Belt, he's forced to play "church music" with his fellow convicted residents. The band's future looks bleak...until Wesley meets Vernon (Lucas Black), an autistic savant whose rocking piano skills give them the spark they need to become the red-hot Killer Diller Blues Band.
