An act of mercy turns a courageous couple into enemies of the state in Guns of Darkness, a high-voltage thriller starring David Niven and Leslie Caron. In a swift and bloody coup, the military has overthrown the South American Republic of Tribulacion and ex-President Rivera (David Opatoshu) is shot and wounded while making his escape. So when he stumbles onto a British-owned sugar plantation, Manager Tom Jordan (Niven) feels morally compelled to help him.
