Based on a true episode in literary history - the strange circumstances that led Fyodor Dostoyevsky to write his novel, The Gambler. A young, beautiful stenographer is brought in to transcribe the novel when the epileptic author is stricken. The passion in the novel rivals the passion between the two co-workers.
