It follows her breakthrough sixth studio album "Short n' Sweet" just a year in between release dates. "Manchild" was released as the lead single on June 5, 2025. Inspired by Dolly Parton, Donna Summer, Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon and ABBA, Carpenter began teasing the project in June 2025, by going live on Instagram, cryptically revealing the album's controversial cover via vinyl. The album features 12 tracks.
