'locket' is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Madison Beer. It was released on January 16, 2026, by Epic Records and Sing It Loud. 'locket' is an alt-pop record with contemporary r&b and soul influences. The album's earliest song was first made as a "three-track run" before The Spinnin Tour. While working on the album, Beer drew inspiration from confessional singer-songwriters to focus less on trends and more on emotion & storytelling. The project was developed over several years, with Beer closely involved in the writing and production. She’s described the album as raw, intimate, and intentionally imperfect. Lyrically, 'locket' marks a step forward from her other albums. It focuses more on vulnerability, self-reflection, healing, and emotional fallout. The project was preceded by three singles: 'make you mine', 'yes baby', 'bittersweet' and 'bad enough'. Following the release of Madison Beer's sophomore album 'Silence Between Songs', she was initially unsure whether to release a deluxe edition or create a new extended play (EP). For some time, Beer leaned toward developing an EP and occasionally updated fans on its progress through Twitter posts and livestreams. Madison Beer explained in an interview with Vogue Magazine how the album title was chosen. She revealed that she had the name in mind before she even started making the album: "When I picked the name, I was thinking of things that were just real and genuine to me. And to be honest, I was going through my camera roll a lot, and just seeing the things I photograph most often or gravitate towards. And I really love vintage stuff, I love antiques. I feel like lockets are very delicate and beautiful, and feminine, and they hold important things, and memories, and people, and places, and it just felt like the right title. I actually picked it before I’d even written a lot of the album." The tracks to 'locket' were revealed by fans on the 24th November via 'locket' necklaces that were sent out by Madison Beer's team. On December 1st, the full tracklist was published by Madison through Instagram. A day later, the name of each song was displayed on Spotify as well as Apple Music. On the 7th of January, Target revealed the bonus tracks exclusive to their edition, those being the acoustic versions of 'bad enough' and 'bittersweet'.
