The Art of Drowning is the fifth studio album by American punk rock band AFI. It was released on September 19, 2000, through Nitro Records. Between June and August 2001, the group performed on the Warped Tour. The album was listed by Alternative Press as one of the ten most-influential albums of the year 2000. The album was included in Rock Sound's 101 Modern Classics list at number 40.
